Because there's always a secret, isn't there?

Everyone knows how to fall in love. Let's be real, it doesn't take a lot of effort. In reality, it takes more effort not to fall in love. We can't help it. As humans, we have a several chemicals in our brain including nerve growth factor, testosterone. estrogen, dopamine, noepinephrine, serotonin, oxytocin, and vasopressin which compel us to seek others, to form bonds, and to love. Being in love, staying in love, and keeping the love alive, however, are different stories.

In this blog, I'll show you how to increase and maintain the love in your life in just five simple steps...just kidding! Newsflash: I just graduated from college 4 months ago, I'm getting married to my other half (who I met about 15 months ago) in 108 days, and my first job out of school is working for the fed. I may or may not be someone from whom to draw wisdom about life, love, and keeping it all seven shades of spicy. That being said, this blog (sort of) has to have a purpose, so why not love. Let me be clear, there will be romantic love, friend love, family love, kitchen love, craft love, art love, fashion love, and pet love. There will be soaring highs, haunting lows, astonishing challenges, and a (hopefully) triumphant conclusion. There will be humor in spades, amateur photography, and once or twice I may endeavor to make you cry (no guarantees though). I also plan on having Bill Nye the Science Guy do a guest segment when he finishes winning DWTS.

So if you've read all that and feel like sacrificing a couple minutes here and there for some free internet entertainment, then welcome to the daily crazy. I hope you enjoy your stay as we explore the Secret to Being in Love.
